This is a crossword puzzle created by our friends at The Huffington Post. Each puzzle word is presented in the same order and the word in the solution is on the top. There is also a hint on the bottom of the puzzle asking to be added to the top of the page.
Sometimes we just have to think about the possibilities. When you’re in a web app and you need to add a new word to a page, it’s probably best to use a Google search to find the word, and then look for it.
Crossword puzzles help us get out of our own heads and to think about other things other than the things we are thinking about. They can lead us to a list of other things we might like to do. For instance, there might be a crossword puzzle on your mind that you want to solve, but you don’t know what it is. In that case, you can type it in Google and you’ll get a list of search results.
A crossword puzzle is basically a list of words that have to be put together in certain order (no duplicates, no backtracking, no clues not included, etc). There are many different types of crosswords to solve, so a very broad crossword is one word that needs to be put together without any clues. Another type of crossword is one word that needs to be put together with clues, but without the need for a specific order.
For the most part, it’s possible to guess the meaning of a crossword based on the words that are listed. However, if the words are all of the same type, then their meanings can be tricky. For example, the words “cross-eyed” and “cross-eyed” probably have no meaning at all. So, if you want to use crosswords to find specific meanings, you have to start with a list of words that have the same meaning.
There are times when a crossword is simply a list of words that are meant to be related. For example, a crossword might contain word pairs that are listed in order like “cross-eyed and cross-eyed”. What “cross-eyed” is meant to be is a pair of words that have a meaning of “cross-eyed” (or “cross-eyed” if you want to be super clever) but are listed in numerical order.
What makes a crossword useful for determining meaning is that it allows you to look for a specific meaning within a larger set of words that may be related. If you want to know what cross-eyed means, then cross-eyed is one of the words you want to look for because it is a cross-eyed pair of words. If you want to find the meaning of cross-eyed, you are looking for an older word, cross-eyed, that has now merged with something else.
