Shakuntala is a female-driven gaming game. There are a few things I could add. The first is about the mechanics of Shakuntala, but the main mechanics is just a lot to learn. The second is about her relationship with the game, which is very much the work of a great many of her fans. The third is about her friendship with the game’s heroine, who is now the player’s main character.
I’m a huge fan of Shakuntala because she has such a distinct voice in games. Her story is very personal and interesting, but there are a lot of issues that most people don’t understand. For example, this is the second time I’ve seen Shakuntala be an antagonist in a video game, but I’m going to let the video game people decide what that makes me feel.
I’ve seen Shakuntala in a ton of games, but she’s not an enemy. She’s an ally to be sure, but an ally that we have to work with. She represents a sort of “I don’t want to kill you, but I have to kill you” style of gameplay. It’s a lot easier to find people to ally with in a video game than it is to find people who play the same character in real life.
I think Shakuntala is the easiest of the new antagonists to find. Her backstory is so well done it even makes you wonder why we’re not all just a bunch of super powered cyborgs and we’re like, “Well I think I should kill you.” She’s not an enemy. She’s just a character that we have to work with.
