This is a classic question that comes up quite often. If you already have a job, you will probably be answering this question differently than someone who is unemployed.
As a matter of fact, I’m probably about to start doing stuff in a different way.
This one is a simple one. If you have a job, you are probably used to your colleagues and bosses treating you well. Not so for people with no job. Because you will have to adapt to this new environment and the way it treats you and your colleagues. You will have to learn to trust that the way you are treated and expected to behave in this new environment will only be expected of you.
That’s exactly what a new employee with no job should expect. Not having a job is not a bad thing. Not having a job is a blessing. I think that the thing that I love most about what I do is how I can adapt to this new environment and be the person that I want to be and not the person that I am.
The people who we are expected to behave like are the people like Colt who have been locked into a repeating day, so he seems like he fits the bill. That’s not all though. The things we are expected to do are also what we are told to do. The way that we are expected to behave is based on our belief that we have to do certain things in certain ways.
What does this mean for our everyday lives? Well it means that if we follow the example of those who are locked into a one-day cycle, we will all end up doing the same things. We will all be the same people, living in the same houses and never quite knowing why we are here anymore. For Colt, his past life is a blur. He’s so focused on his job that he doesn’t even remember why he’s been kidnapped.
As it turns out, Colt Vahn is an amnesiac who seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.

On the surface, Deathloop looks as vibrant and murderous as ever in its new story trailer. But the deeper you look, you see that the game is just as dark and grim, if not more so. Much like the opening prologue, there are only four characters in the game: the main character Colt Vahn, his friend Zandran, a mysterious man called The Madman, and the mad scientist The Maker.
The first four Visionaries are from the island of Blackreef, which is a hidden city hidden in plain sight. They’re all connected to The Maker, The Madman, and The Maker’s daughter, The Maker’s wife, and The Maker’s other daughter, The Maker’s son. The Maker’s son, who’s a pretty cool dude, has a secret that no one’s ever been able to tell him.
