Sometimes I am reminded of the old saying that if it bothers you, let it be done. Say that you feel like you are doing it right. If you want to do something to make someone happy, you should get him to do it for you.
A lot of people think that they are being “tough” when they treat others meanly. I think that the real “tough” thing to do is to treat people with kindness. The trouble is that people will try to hurt you just so they can feel good about themselves. So treat people with kindness.
